It shows how, for something to be considered funny nowadays, it's really enough to be random and weird. (There's apparently a real satirical point to it, but seeing as it's lost to non-Korean audiences...) There need not be actual punchlines - as long as it makes for enough gifs it'll be considered hilarious.

"State Of Grace" has to be the best Taylor Swift to date song. I hope she submits it for ROTY & SOTY next year at the Grammys.

I hope it stays that way.

I had never listened to it until it was played at a party I attended. I wish I could un-hear it.

I'm not a violent person (at all), but every time I even hear the opening seconds of it on the radio I have the sudden urge to punch something (anything). Scream and Shout is terrible, but for my money, Gangnam Style is easily the worst song of the year.

Ugh, I don't know, but I'm not as head over heels for Channel Orange as I thought I'd be. It's really just a "good" album. Sure --the production is impeccable, but it's kind of a chore to sit through. I feel the same about Kendrick Lamar and (to a lesser extent) Tame Impala. At least I can agree on Fiona?

Whatever. I'm going back to listen to Marina & the Diamonds and Sleigh Bells.

A chore to sit through? The fuck?!

Thinking About You, Sweet Life, Super Rich Kids, Pyramids, Lost, Pilot Jones, etc. are all fantastic songs...

I prefer to skip through the interludes though.

'Bad Religion' is the only song that I like. From creative/artistic perspective, I respect Channel Orange but it will not be in my Top 10.

I do agree with this. At least on my iPhone, I've taken those out. But nearly all of the songs are close to perfect, imo.

I LOVE Channel Orange. Again, it and the Fiona (and probably Chromatics and Godspeed) are the only 2012 albums I found to be truly outstanding.

Well, I found Channel Orange to be boring and not good at all, but I guess I'm the only one here.

My fav R&B release of the year was definitely Miguel's Kaleidoscope Dream.

Channel Orange is kind of my idea of a perfect album. It's just such an incredible nugget. It's so versatile and creative and raw. I still listen to some part of it pretty much every day.

I really don't understand how anyone couldn't like Channel Orange. Really.

I was going to say this but I didn't want to sound like a dick.

Also, I really like the interludes and I usually hate that kind of thing. I want "Fertilizer" to be made into a full-length.

Ugh, yes, Fertilizer should have been a full-length song.

What I love about Channel Orange is that I've had a new favorite song off of it every few weeks. Right now I am so into Lost, but that doesn't diminish how amazing Pyramids, Thinkin Bout You, Bad Religion, etc. are.

I'm used to being a dick, so I'll get that covered.

If I just want to listen to the songs, of course I'll skip the interludes. But I think they're an essential part of the album as various snapshots of LA.

I think that's an excellent point and probably one of the reason I love the album so much, just the fact that it's been my LA soundtrack all year. The feeling I get listening to "Sweet Life" or "Lost" driving down (or more likely sitting in traffic) on the freeway is pretty exquisite.

Yeah, Channel Orange is wonderful and really should be the consensus choice for AOTY--I like it much more than the Fiona and the Kendrick Lamar. I do like Kaleidoscope Dream about as much, though.

LOL, I still haven't made it through all of Channel Orange (sorry, busy time of year) I've heard about 3/4ths of it. I'd give what I've heard a very solid A, but I don't know that I'd say it's an album I'm "in love with" like I thought I might be when I first heard Pyramids.

That said, Pyramids is definitely a standout, and probably my track of the year.
