We're you a fan of Amanda Brown? She was my favorite female contestant, she was unbelievably versatile, as a performer & vocalist. She had: power, range, control, and her rifts and runs were impeccable.
I liked Amanda Brown a lot. She didn't have pitch problems and possessed a solid range.

I hated this year's mashup. He only used the Die Young instrumental. 2009 is his masterpiece.
First and foremost, I'm judging the skills and technique. Most songs he uses are shit anyway.
Perhaps he didn't want to use the lyrics of Die Young in light of the recent tragedy. I heard the song is getting very little airplay in the US because of that.

Well it's not getting little airplay given that it's still one of the 5 most-played songs in the country. However, it is falling at an abnormally faster rate.
Also, "He only used the Die Young instrumental" isn't true anyway. The part where it goes "I hear your heart beat" and "let's make the most of the night" is from the song as well. I may listen to pop radio too much.

I didn't mean that. LOL. His other mash ups use different instrumentals and lyrics while this one used lyrics from many songs but he used mostly the Die Young instrumental, which is basic and therefore this year sucks.
