The start of Is there a Ghost? by 'Band of Horses' is so different and misleading and better than the rest of the song.

I didn't see a thread for Christmas songs, but I just now heard Bob Dylan's Christmas album from a couple years ago. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure how his rough voice would carry the songs - and although I'm divided on his latest material, I thought his version of "Here Comes Santa Clause" is surprisingly enjoyable:
Also wanna remind everyone that the 12/12 concert is this Wednesday. I know this might come across as an overstatement, but I think the line up is one of the greatest of all time: Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Billy Joel, Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, etc.
You can see its broadcasting schedule here: http://www.121212concert.org/broadcast
Did you know Panic at the Disco released an album last year? Of course you didn't. There's no reason to, because it's terrible.
Except for this song:
The album GENERALS by The Mynabirds is very very good. Lead is a DC based singer/songwriter Laura Burhenn and this is the second album released mid of this year. Such solid, layered and assured production (tribal beats, reverbs, catchy rock/pop hooks) and vocals (reminding of Grace Potter, Dum Dum Girls and even Cat Power.)
Generals, Disarm, Wolf Mother, Disaster, Body Of Work, Radiator Sister and perhaps the best of them all Karma Debt (this makes it 7/10, not a bad ratio for an album.)
The smoking cover has a stylish 60s look going on. Doesn't she look like Stephane Audran on there?
So Kate Bosworth just released a single (a holiday tune) to iTunes, and the video for it is a play on The Fabulous Baker Boys...
Will you join the Geography Club?
God, I wish I started listening to this woman before. Her album is impeccable.
Gross.
No Doubt has been in the studio with Shellback. I hope Push and Shove's massive flop and the accompanying Looking Hot controversy doesn't lead to a case of lost integrity...
How the HELL did I miss this Jessie Ware album when it came out earlier this year? Maybe it's the fact that it's 4 in the morning and I had an emotionally exhausting day, but I'm 2/3 of the way through it and, like, on the verge of tears. This is just... beyond. I won't be listening to much else for weeks.
This is bound to get me slapped, but Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" is brilliant. I can't stop listening to it. It's funny that my favorite song of the first month of 2012 was a Genesis pastiche (Somebody That I Used To Know), and my favorite song of the last month of 2012 is a Police pastiche.
As usual after the Top Songs of 2012 by Billboard is announced, it's here
Usually he uses the TOP 25 songs, but it seems that he used other songs too and some were not included even though they were in the TOP 25. Like last year.

Everybody just stop and pay atention to this re-invention. This bops hard!
I can't get over how funny that video is. Eminem trying to sell you on the merits of his bicycle is priceless.
