Has anyone mentioned how great the new 'The Evens' album "The Odds" is? If not, it's really great. Go listen to it.
I love Warrior it after listening it for a few days. Definitely met my expectations as a follow-up more than Born This Way did (I like the comparison between Gaga and Kesha sound/talent wise, and between The Fame/Fame Monster vs Animal/Cannibal as IMO dual classics). I'd say a good sign for a pop CD is that something like 12-13 songs of the 16 wouldn't surprise me if they were chosen among the singles, and 2 of the ones that would be surprising choices is solely because they're ballads. Money songs front to back, including the deluxe tracks
Did somebody just compare Gaga's The Fame and The Fame Monster to Ke$ha's whatever her albums are named?!![]()

To be fair, The Fame is a pretty shapeless album. There's about three tracks (Boys Boys Boys, LoveGame, and Eh Eh) that (just barely) indicate that The Fame Monster would be an insane genius masterpiece. Plus, Cannibal has probably my favorite non-Shakira lyric ever: "be too sweet and you'll be a goner/yep, I'll pull a Jeffrey Dahmer".
Ugh, V, that song sucks so, so much.
The shitty fake British accent is the only thing that I find remotely redeemable about that song.
But in general, that song, that video...

I heard this on the shuttle last night. I almost jumped out the window to save myself.

Holy fuck, Take That?!
Yes. The Fame is my favorite of the recent pop boom (last 5 years ish) but Animal is pretty close behind it. What makes both CDs great IMO is there's no filler or skip tracks. The only song close to less than A- for me on the Fame is Money Honey, while on Animal the only song I skip is Tik Tok from over-saturation. That's my biggest problem with some recent well reviewed CDs like 21, Teenage Dream, Truth About Love, Body Talk, anything by Rihanna, etc., their best songs are as good as on The Fame/Animal, but a big chunk of their songs are skips to me, and thus I don't have much interest in listening to them front to back. The Fame and Animal feel complete IMO. I think part of it is that Gaga and Kesha waited years after being picked up to have their turn, and surely had written a ton of songs at that point to pick the best ones from

Animal (and Kesha, period.) is total garbage.
