Well, Idol was down another 1.4 points for its premiere to a 6, lower than multiple Big Bang Theory episodes from this season. Last year Idol only got a 5.33 season average after a 7.4 premiere, so I guess it'll average around the same as the fall edition of The Voice this season (4.3-ish)?

Big Bang Theory's averaged a 5.3 thus far. So has The Walking Dead.

Nashville got its best rating since the premiere. Renewal looking more likely.

For my own use, Voice Fall vs. Idol's low points: 3.0-3.3: Once, Tuesday Voice
    3.0-3.6: Never, Monday Voice

It would be hilarious (And awesome) if Walking Dead had a better 18-49 average than AI this season.

Cougar Town got a 1.0 this week I think. Though funnily enough it may be lead-in dependent, as The Big Bang Theory rerun preceding it got a 1.6.
Not great, but perfectly fine especially given how a lot of ABC comedies are below a 2 rating.

A rating corresponds to the % of all people 18-49 who watch a show. So a 1 rating=1% of all Americans 18-49 watched the episode of Cougar Town. And it has been shown time and time again that shows are renewed based on 18-49, not total audience.

Pretty Little Liars was last night's #1 cable original (in 18-49) for the 2nd week in a row. I'm impressed given that the show is an ABC Family teen show.
It's also "Tuesday’s #1 TV Telecast for the 4th Straight Week in Females 12-34," which might be more impressive since I thought The New Girl was targeted mainly towards young women, and it rebounded big yesterday because of an Event Episode.

Any word on Happy Endings' chances of a renewal? If it's getting cancelled, then I can rest easy that Nick Zano's Pete will get married to Penny.

Will you join the Geography Club?

Though its ratings are poor, I will be very surprised if the show is canceled.

Keri seems poised to make a comeback or have a good year at the very least. I am very happy for her.

    Quite interesting night ratings-wise.

American Idol was down 19% last night vs. the equivalent episode from last season, losing to Big Bang by 17%. Also, Glee lost over half of Idol's ratings as a lead-out with a 2.1. I'm thinking...maybe one more season? Fox does suck badly enough that it is renewal-worthy.

My prediction that Scandal will beat Shonda's other show Grey's Anatomy may come true sooner than I thought. Last night, 2.7 vs. 2.8. Hooray. It's definitely ABC's (only) success story of the season, up over 10% from last season. Down double digit % this season: Modern Family, Suburgatory, Middle, Once Upon a Time, Grey, Dancing (26%).

Do No Harm's premiere did even worse than freaking Rock Center, a newsmagazine they scraped together to throw something on at 10 on Thursdays. Ouch. Below a 1 rating is CW territory. 30 Rock was up to a 1.9, which while not good is its best of the season.

Elementary only got a 2.2 in its final pre-Super Bowl lead out episode. I wonder how much Super Bowl will help. It didn't help Glee at all. Their last 2 pre Super Bowl episodes got 4.6 & 4.4; their first 2 post Super Bowl leadout episodes got 4.6 & 4.2.

In the last week, of the T20 cable program, 4 were Family Guy reruns and 7 were Big Bang reruns. Too little interesting original cable programming?

The AV Club's review makes me want to watch it really badly. It just sounds so moronically inept!

I love that weird lunge the guy does at the camera at the end of that promo where the two personalities are talking about each other. So goofy.

Seemed like they tried and failed with that with My own worst enemy!

Elementary 18-49 is poor. I was thinking that it might be one of those shows that premiere after the superbowl and then get cancelled but instead of having it's premiere just gets put there in the middle of it's first.

LOL, of course the one show I was vaguely interested in watching is a total bomb.

You can do it, Naomi! You're...
ONLY 10 EASY STEPS AWAY FROM OSCAR!

1.) Bankrupt small, independent distributor via massive Oscar campaign. Failing that, proceed to...
2.) Cash in King Kong residual checks to pay for FYC advertisements from Kinko's.
3.) To avoid getting sent straight to VOD, attach entire film as a "trailer" to another film people actually want to see. And then...
4.) Try to do it Lahti-style and win Academy Award for Best Short Film.
5.) Avoid telling a story that everyone already knows by adding exciting details and/or gratuitous editing.
    6. Carefully and patiently weather the wrath of film critics/the royal family/the tabloids/Diana-maniacs for trying to add said details. (Good luck!)
    7. Find all of the boxes with "August: Osage County" screeners and slip in self-made cam bootleg from premiere screening at Lowes...the hardware store.
(Not Loews, the movie theater -- too expensive!)
    8. Trick octogenarian Oscar voters into thinking that you are, in fact, a real princess. (Hey, it worked on Eva Marie Saint!)
    9. On Oscar night, have camera crews come to Nicole's house, Joan Crawford-style, so you can win and keep your day job.
    10. OSCAR!

Were you interested in watching because it looks like a complete trainwreck in every way?
