NBC is trying. It has by far the most new midseason shows of the networks. They might all fail, but better to at least try.
Something called Duck Dynasty apparently beat American Horror Story in the cable wars on Wednesday. I'm guessing it's another one of those Manly candid reality shows about men at work. Like Swamp People, or Pawn Stars.
FRIDAY: So the ABC comedies had short-lived success. In their 2nd week they're down to ho-hum but not terrible for Friday 1.6s. Leaving ABC with a total of 1 successful comedy hour (Modern Family + The Middle).
I guess business-related reality shows are where it's at for Friday. Undercover Boss and Shark Tank both hit 2s. Shark Tank never hit 2s before this season, but it has 3 of its last 4 episodes.
SUNDAY: Fox has extra overrun so the early numbers are way off. But the post-football shows remain under 3, which is somewhat surprising.
Partially as a result of overrun, Once Upon a Time plunges .7. Revenge is down too, but it retains (for now) about 89% of Once's ratings, vs. 79% last week.
