NBC is trying. It has by far the most new midseason shows of the networks. They might all fail, but better to at least try.
Something called Duck Dynasty apparently beat American Horror Story in the cable wars on Wednesday. I'm guessing it's another one of those Manly candid reality shows about men at work. Like Swamp People, or Pawn Stars.

FRIDAY: So the ABC comedies had short-lived success. In their 2nd week they're down to ho-hum but not terrible for Friday 1.6s. Leaving ABC with a total of 1 successful comedy hour (Modern Family + The Middle).
I guess business-related reality shows are where it's at for Friday. Undercover Boss and Shark Tank both hit 2s. Shark Tank never hit 2s before this season, but it has 3 of its last 4 episodes.

SUNDAY: Fox has extra overrun so the early numbers are way off. But the post-football shows remain under 3, which is somewhat surprising.
Partially as a result of overrun, Once Upon a Time plunges .7. Revenge is down too, but it retains (for now) about 89% of Once's ratings, vs. 79% last week.

MON: With The Voice down some more to a 4.3, Revolution also goes down to a series low. However, A) it's still the only 10 o'clock show AND the only new show that consistently pulls a 2.5, and B) last season Smash only got a 2.5 three times, when The Voice was getting over a 6.

How I Met is back up to a 3.

JJJ, I think you are missing the significance of the consistency of Revolution's drop. Have you already forgotten NBC last great "hit," THE EV3NT?

Revolution's drops are worrisome for the fact that it goes on a two month hiatus very soon. It's return will probably be down from its lowest point in its first half.

By its 3rd episode, The Event was at 2.4 during a better broadcast ratings atmosphere, then 2.2 the next week. Not the same thing. NBC also doesn't have any other scripted show at Revolution's #s, and it would be more worrying if Revolution dropped despite The Voice rising or staying steady.
A better comparison would be V. After its months-long hiatus, it plunged, hitting a 2.4 in its 2nd episode back with Lost as a lead-in. We'll have to see where it is when it returns from hiatus.

Sunday Finals: Revenge up a tenth, so it retained 93% of Once Upon a Time's ratings. Whoohoo!
    Simpsons 3.2, Bob's Burgers 2.4, Family Guy 2.7, Family Guy 2.3
Walking Dead 5.6 - If it maintains this pace, it might just be TV's #1 non-football show. American Idol last season got 5.3 & 4.9 for its Wednesday & Thursday episodes, respectively.

The ratings for the ABC comedies are dreadful. I feel like Don't Trust the B---- will be canceled, while Happy Endings could limp toward syndication with those numbers. Totally not indicative of quality. Maybe a cable net will come in and save Don't Trust the B----.

All of the 9 p.m. comedies are way down for no real reason. Maybe because they took last week off?

Results like the above (for both 10 o'clock shows and dramas overall) are why I'm not quite predicting the sky to fall on Revolution.

New Girl is worrying. I guess New Girl, Glee, and X Factor are all in a race to see which live-action Fox show can fall the least to be their top non-animated fall show. Each has had 2 sub-2.5s: New Girl's faced 2.3 and now 2.2; X Factor 2.3 and 2.3; Glee 2.4 and 2.4.
At this point last season their lows were 3.0 for Glee, 3.5 for New Girl, and 3.3 for X Factor. So...that's not good.

Voice is impressive - a 3.8 when last season (which kicked off with a post-Super Bowl ep) its elimination eps got 3.2, 3.5, 3.3, 3.4, 3.1. S1's sole live elimination ep got a 3.3.

Even though its demos are shocking Emily Owens MD had a big jump in total viewers (compared to previous outings). Plus Parenthood won demos (it still needs to fix that total viewers up though).

WED: X Factor recovers, up to a 2.9. Beats everything last night except Modern Family and Criminal Minds.

Suburgatory sheds 2.2 ratings points from Modern Family and is actually slightly behind The Middle which has no lead-in; fail. Nashville is sub-2 again. CSI is sub-2.5 again, keeping Revolution in place as the only 10 o'clock network show that's not.
