    TRUTH.

Compared to them, Mumford and Sons seem respectable.

fun. gave Janelle Monae more pop culture exposure. I don't really care if their music sucks because of that. I love Janelle Monae.

Just realizing that Bieber was totally snubbed. I was only made aware of this because his creepy, weird manager went on a Twitter rant about it.

    I'm even more pleased now.

True and not only that but the vocals are simply searing (and so passionate and organic as you said) in that album. I would nominate her there as well.

Right, I know. I asked the same question last night! I know it is not about nationality but I can't even see any genre similarities there? Weird. Was that even their (M&S) intention? Was it marketed that way?

It was like an epic, huge album. These days how many people can pull of double albums of this kind and quality?

The only person to really blame for Fiona's category placement is Fiona herself, seeing as artists submit themselves where they see fit. You can't really blame her. She was pretty assured of a nomination there, probably not so much in the Pop field.

Alternative Album is usually the only category worth a damn at these "awards". If I wanted to actually feel proud I got nominated, I'd probably submit there, too.

It's weird that Phillip Phillips's "Home" didn't get in anywhere. That song's been out since May and is peaking at just the right time for voters.

    Haha. Guilty.

They went way more rock than I ever imagined.

It is interesting that P2 didn't get in, but they really loved their women in the Pop Solo Category! I still kind of hate that they combined all of the genre categories, but whatever.

thank GOD. a fiona nod would have been heaven but i'm pretty pleased with the AOTY lineup. esp. jack white & frank ocean. the noms aren't as people's choice awardish as it has been in the past few years.

Comedy Album is seriously a solid field as well. These are, besides the horrific inclusion of Carly Rae Jepsen at all, the best Grammy nominees in years.

i think it's only shot would have been male pop solo, but now that's gone & combined now, it didn't have much of a chance anywhere. ROTY and SOTY seemed competitive this year.

I have no idea how this will play out. I think it's either Frank Ofean, Mumford and Sons of fun., but I think you can probably make a case for all five. I'd put my money on Mumford.
