Got an e-mail that I can't "talk" about Django Unchained until December 17th. Wow....let's see who breaks that first. #FYC

Django Unchained is a great film. Classic spaghetti western. Leo and Sam steal the film. Beautiful and violent. Thanks @blainems

    Blaine Morris ‏@blainems
@hollyw0odreject you're welcome!! Definitely going to be a Quentin classic. Sammy j and Leo are the baddest mofukkas, love it.

Loved DJANGO UNCHAINED (@DGA last night.) Roller-coaster-style thrilling & smart/funny. But get ready for Big Race Debate coming down pike.
    Jennifer Bleyer ?@jennypencil
An Af-American woman in audience shouted to Tarantino, "Black people aren't going to like this" and stormed out. Looking forward to debate

    Ken ?@twunchblog
@mrsamagax saw Django Unchained last night. Fantastic in spots, uneven for Tarantino and overlong. Worth seeing for Leo and Sam Jackson.

    Colin Fisher ?@fictionalsleep
Big surprise, Django Unchained is awesome. Great shots, lot of humor, and even more violence. Leo and Waltz? SO GOOD. And of course Foxx.

    Teria Birlon ?@teriabirlon
Saw Django Unchained. It's a great film. Left me conflicted & intrigued with aspects of it. Jamie, Kristoph, Leo,Sam & Kerry were phenomenal

    Jay Ferraro

Just left a screening of Django Unchained. Jamie Foxx was in the house. Leo and Waltz killed it. Tons of fun. pic.twitter.com/pr4xv8VO

with his out-of-nowhere-appearance at NYFCCA, I wonder if Waltz will be put in supporting in the course of the season? wouldn't be the first time this would happen.

There's something wrong with this signature.
Can you find that ONE mistake?

Only two of them do? The other ones mention Leo and Jackson on equal-footing. That doesn't inspire too much confidence in either one of them.

Much more than the previous ones did, not much more than they single out Jackson or Waltz.

Not really. He's had some praise. Not as much as the others, but everyone already knew (particularly from the script) that while his character might nominally be the "lead", he had the least showy or colorful character to work with. He's just a low-key broody silent type in a movie full of extravagant scene stealers. So this was pretty much expected. I think it'll go down as a key role in Foxx's career, and he'll get some respect for his performance. But he was never really going to contend for awards or get most of the early, obvious praise.

Yeah I agree. I think Jamie's performance will be good and although not awards worthy, he'll get enough praise to springboard this into other roles.

Meh, I feel like this is just gonna get some ensemble nominations and no individual acting nods. But maybe if Harvey can somehow get critics or voters to rally around one of the three (Leo, Jackson, Waltz), it can happen. Otherwise, it seems they'll all have their fans, but I don't know that any of the three will have enough to muster a nomination.

Roger Friedman in a sort-of review about django chances at the oscars.

    +++++++++++++

and others........it's crazy, i have yet to see a negative twitt about it. The worse some said, that it was not oscar material.

Django Unchained is a soul food spaghetti western. Crazy long and kinda brilliant. Kudos to jamie foxx, christoph waltz, leo dicaprio

    Will Oliver ‏@weallwantsome1
The film is bloody as all fuck, and is outright hysterical. It has no boundaries in typical Tarantino fashion. #djangounchained

    Will Oliver ‏@weallwantsome1
It was 2 hrs and 40 min but it didn't drag on at all. it was well paced and entertaining from start to finish. #djangounchained

    Will Oliver ‏@weallwantsome1
Waltz, Foxx, and Leo are Oscar levels of good. I think Leo may snag a best supporting actor for this if I had to guess. #djangounchained

    Nick Antosca ‏@nickantosca
DJANGO UNCHAINED riles you up with 2 hours of squirm-inducing degradation. Last 40 minutes is an orgy of revenge so cathartic it's shocking.

    Nick Antosca ‏@nickantosca
Samuel L. Jackson steals DJANGO UNCHAINED. Don Johnson has a brief but priceless role. Jonah Hill is also good as "Bag Head #2."

The only remote possible drawback I see is that it's seen as "Inglourious 2: This Time it's Blacks instead of Jews who Take a Revenge that Historically Never Happened".

I think it may be able to win make-up unless something really bizarre happens (like it usually does).
