Frank Ocean wrote a song for the film
Frank Ocean is in demand -- if that wasn't already apparent -- and Quentin Tarantino is among the admirers. In a somewhat rare interview with GQ, Ocean revealed that he'd made a song for the film director's forthcoming film "Django Unchained." No word yet if the track made the cut, but knowing Tarantino's taste, Ocean's a natural contender.

Original music in a Tarantino film? That's a new one.

    * not really considering the RZA/Robert Rodriguez tracks in "Kill Bill" and the stinger in "Death Proof."

The official site's pretty cool; you can explore Candyland and some of the other locations.

Amazing site indeed, and anybody doubting a production design nom for this is nuts.

In his Les Mis reaction post, Tim O'Neil mentioned he's seeing Django next week so we should get early word of it soon.

I am really looking forward to this movie now, which is strange because im not usually thath high on Tarantino but it looks so entertaining, and I think the story will have more depth than people expect. Especially with the Waltz and Foxx characters.

Two weeks ago Django was three hours and 12 minutes long. They've experimented with it since, re-ordering scenes, etc. Down to the wire.

Considering it's his love letter to Leone - and all the additional material that he's written between last April and whenever production wrapped - is anyone REALLY surprised?

Honestly, I say the longer, the merrier. It's about time we had REAL epics in the theaters again. "The Dark Knight Rises" was a good starting point.
