Prometheus (2012) - [FULL SPOILERS PERMITTED]

He's in the film from beginning to end, there are quite a few scenes that focus on just him, and thematically his character is a very important. It's a huge part and definitely Lead to me. The trend of a role being thought of as "supporting" just because it's not THE biggest Lead role in the film really annoys me.

That's a fair enough point. And I do understand what you say about an actor not being the biggest lead in a film, but he struck me as thoroughly supporting in Prometheus. He's second to Rapace, certainly, but I felt that the film was never making it about him.

I count Fassbender as supporting only because there's more room for him in that category. It's a borderline case. Anyway, he's second lead to Rapace, clearly, and probably the most interesting character in the film. And I don't really get how people can totally write Prometheus off as a disaster when David is such an incredible character played so brilliantly by Fassbender. Can't they at least realize that that aspect of it worked? But nope, everything about Prometheus is garbage apparently. You know, that sort of reaction to things is WHY I DON'T CALL MYSELF A NERD. Self proclaimed nerds rejected Prometheus, just as they rejected the finale of LOST.
