It does seem a little rash to declare final seasons for Community and Parks and Rec. Granted, the ratings are miniscule, but it's not like the other NBC comedies fared much better this season. At least they're consistent?

Community gets a 13-episode fourth season.

Four seasons and a graduation ceremony. POP POP!
I really hope that that isn't all for Community. Would it be impossible for a cable network like FX to pick up a scaled down version of Community or Parks and Rec if NBC is done with them after next year.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if someone pulled a TBS/Cougar Town-style deal with one or the other. Still, it's nice that next week's three episodes are not the end.
Go Parenthood!![]()

I'm seeing reports on Twitter that ABC has told Sony they want to renew Happy Endings. Huzzah!
Just want the official word that Parks and Rec will be back and my long night of anxious Twitter-searches about TV show renewals will be over.
Neither Community nor P&R's renewals are for final seasons (well, when P&R is renewed tomorrow). That was an unsourced report that misread a Deadline story. The only show getting a "final" season pickup is 30 Rock.
HS
So County isn't going forward?
Deadline says that NBC handed Katims a renewal for Parenthood and opted to go with Do No Harm as its medical drama pickup?
I have a role on Mindy Kaling's Pilot (Now titled "It's Messy" or possibly "Mindy") that was picked up by Fox!
It's happening.

That's awesome, Prom King!
Also awesome: Parks and Recreation officially picked up.

EDIT: Parks apparently gets a full season, while Up All Night and Whitney (LMAO?!) have also been renewed. ABC has also picked up Happy Endings. YEAR OF PENNY.

NBC picked up Dane Cook's comedy series "Next Caller"

Really, thinking about it and considering the shows that COULD'VE been cancelled, this has been an unexpectedly pleasant upfronts season. Community, Parks, Cougar Town, Happy Endings, Parenthood, Fringe... I'm also weirdly excited for Suburgatory's second season - that feels like a show with a potential to take a HUGE leap in quality next year.
I am really pumped that Parks and Rec and Happy Endings got the full-season order. That is awesome, awesome news. Parks and Rec will probably come back with some more focus next season with these plot shakeups and I think Happy Endings was my favorite comedy not named Louie this season. So, yeah, hooray!
Sad to hear CBS' A Gifted Man was cancelled: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...by-cbs/133462/
I still have hopes for NBC to renew that dangerously-overlooked comedy Bent: http://www.cinemablend.com/televisio...son-41717.html
Will you join the Geography Club?
NBC's cancelled Chelsea, Bent, BFF, and Awake, and passed on all its remaining pilots.

Damn, I had hopes for Midnight Sun. So, here are NBC's new dramas: Hannibal, Revolution, Do No Harm, Infamous, and Chicago Fire.
Huh.

NBC is hopeless. Even with Bryan Fuller, I have no interest in Hannibal. Chicago Fire will be booooooooooring. Revolution won't last 13 episodes. I'm only half interested in Infamous (Revenge!) and Do No Harm.
Awesome dude:
Kyle Killen @killen8
guys its cool. awake lasted 600% longer than lone star. at that rate next 1 be on until end of time. now, anyone know if Whitney is hiring?
Not surprised, but still bummed about Best Friends Forever. I loved that little thing.
