GaGa, who is also on tour, was recently recorded during an Auckland, New Zealand concert making what some fans claim is a thinly veiled response to Madonna's jab.
In the video, the 26-year-old singer sits at a piano while telling concert-goers: "It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work. And that doesn't make me feel good at all. That just makes me feel like I'm not being a good human being."
meanwhile the british press are creating a storm over 'nipplegate' -

I have to slightly agree with Pier's Morgan's view that this is 'one of the most embarassing, desperate moments in the history of music'. haha.
Why does this woman have to sink to such depths? What's wrong with just singing and dancing....she's becoming increasingly sadder and more of a laughing stock in the entertainment world, and more and more irrelevant as a pop 'artist'...(if that's how she describes stripping for cheap publicity...)
This was a bold move on Madonna's part. 20 years ago when she published her Sex book, she was saying that a woman could be sexy, intelligent, and have a blast all at the same time.
Now, she is showing that you can be sexy, smart, and have a great time - regardless of age. It's great to see Madonna breaking down age barriers and putting herself out there again.
I don't see it as a publicity stunt or desperation. And what would she be desperate about, the tour tickets are selling very well? Sure, she counted on some controversy, but I think it was more about having fun and Madonna's always been this way. In 1984, it was those sexy moves, and now it's a nipple. But when she's 50, it's no longer called breaking boundaries, but desperation. 'Old' artists just aren't supposed to follow the trends anymore, they're supposed to keep to themselves like Elton John or retire like Tina Turner.
Not that I find the nipple groundbreaking, it's just the reactions are stupid![]()
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.
yeah, getting your tits out is so groundbreaking, really 'liberated'...deep, profound stuff. haha
Madonna really is such an artistic genius, sending out a great message to the world- when all else fails, get your tits out girls!
Yeah, it's not, and so is little of what she's done, yet she's one of the world's biggest music artists. It's nothing, the nipple thing. It's not a message, why would it upset anyone? Well, okay, tits offend people, but that's not really the issue here. You come to a Madonna show, it's what you get, more or less. No one is saying it was a great idea to show her boob, but why would it upset you and make you call her a desperate old woman?
As for her relevance, yeah, she's less and less relevant as a musician as she doesn't promote the albums the way others fo and her tits can't do it the way Katy Perry's can, and her music is nothing groundbreaking (was it ever?). But very few pop stars put on a live show like she does, and the critics acknowledge that. And her albums always come with huge build-in anticipationIt's because she's trying to stay hip that people pick on her. Whom above the age of 50 would you consider relevant?
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.
hey, it doesn't upset me in the slightest. I am here to post my opinion, as we all are, and I am entitled to my opinions. In this case, I couldn't care less about Madonna's nipples, haha. Just funny that just a few months ago she was slamming Janet Jackson for her superbowl nipple incident, getting on her high horse about women 'deserving more'...blah blah
And now she is doing the very same thing...hypcritical much?![]()

Gaga wouldn't do it though...![]()
Thank you. I can't even with all these reactions. First of all, it's a nipple, so who the fuck cares. It's sad that people still get so uptight about someone showing a nipple on stage. Plus, she's done "worse." The bitch has masterbated on stage before. Secondly, these are the exact reactions that she wants and that is why she does it. She's a provocateur and if people still don't get that after 30+ years , that's kind of sad. She's living for these reactions.
Seriously. It's her own fucking show with her fans, not the Superbowl or national TV or some shit.
I can bag on Madonna for being a shady bitch and doing stupid shit but this is fucking retarded.
Those reactions are really stupid... It's clear that she was in the mood that night. (she also kissed her boyfriend as well, which we're told that she hadn't done in previous ones)
Of course it's not groundbreaking or something but and the fans over there were already shouting a lot. It didn't get an extra attention she was already getting in from the first second of the show. And how is it a 'scandalous action'? It's not like she didn't do it the first time in her career.
My opinion is many things to different people. Just because I don't like how your heroine has handled herself in this episode. And, as I said, I couldn't give a f**k about her getting her saggy old tits out (or anything else for that matter...yuk).
My point was the hypocrisy of her previous comments Re: Janet Jackson
I certainly choose not to attack other posters, and call their opinions 'shit'...
have a lovely day.![]()
