I actually really love season 1, after watching it in reruns. It's a mess, but it's also good in a nostalgic way. The latter seasons ... LMAO. I don't know why I voted for her in this poll, actually. SATC derailed from season 5 onward. Possibly earlier.
    A humongous NO to that.

It was bad enough that she won one.

Cynthia Nixon was probably the only one (MAYBE Kim Cattrall in the latter seasons) out of the cast who deserved her Emmy.

I didn't like Messing's win here. Her storyline in the episode was completely dramatic and not funny. Her nomination the year before, Bed Bath and Beyond, had a funnier performance with a dramatic storyline.

But her work in Lows in the Mid 80s is her best work and submission, but she lost to Heaton (who I usually can't stand) in a very funny performance in ELR (The Canister).

Jane should've easily won in 2001 over that Heaton creature's second. Also, they had the perfect opportunity to reward her in 2006-all the other ladies already had Emmys, she had a great submission (Lois Strikes Back) and she was the only one from the classic early 2000s Comedy Actress line-up that was still Emmyless (Aniston, Messing, Heaton and Parker all won). Instead they gave Louis-Dreyfus number 2.

I think she needs a great guest role on Breaking Bad. I don't know how voters could resist her in a reunion with Cranston.

Of this particular year, I voted for Jane but I actually don't mind Messing's win. It's serious but would have definitely stood out. Plus she was considered over-due for being the only W&G cast member not to Emmy.

I thought Debra Messing was deserving here.

If anyone should have been nominated from Friends this year it was Lisa Kudrow. "The One with the Lottery" is probably the last completely excellent episode the show produced.

JK's tape that year was TERRIBLE. DM had the best tape and deserved to win, I think. Wait - is that Season 5 or 4? Confused.

Jane. Basically, because she is awesome. She's got that Lynette Scavo thing that works perfectly when you're in a comedy.
