    From Dr. Funkenberry's webpage:

Wow. PRINCE and the NPG are in rehearsal for the Welcome 2 Australia tour!!! To begin every week of rehearsal, to get the rust off, PRINCE and the band jam one song for 30-45 minutes.

"The Dance Electric" in its original form with vocals will be one of the featured encore songs for the Welcome 2 Australia tour. Get ready to DANCE!!!

P.S. PRINCE and the band are currently taking requests for desired tunes for the setlist.
Check out the link for the TDE stream. Very good.

For those that don't know, "The Dance Electric" was one of Prince's notable 80s outtakes. He later gave it to former associate Andre Cymone, who turned it into a Top 10 R&B hit.

~What would be my request? "Bambi." Followed by "Endorphinmachine" and "Horny Toad." And "She's Always in My Hair."

Famed producer/The Time member Jimmy Jam is interviewed about many topics from the band's reunion (now as the Original 7ven) to producing Janet and Michael Jackson to The Time's participation in the Prince turkey that was GRAFFITI BRIDGE.*

Is he aware of the money he would make if he properly toured North America? Come on, man.

    Yeah no kidding.

He limited toured Canada at the end of '11, even dropped a digital single ("Extralovable"*) to promote it. But yeah for whatever reason, he refuses to tour the midwest or basically penetrate America beyond coastal major cities. Is he afraid he won't sell out or sell well outside of urban markets? Maybe the symbol really hates the Heartland? (Which is odd considering most of his 80s success came from writing for the Heartland demographics.)

And still, SOTT the movie not on fucking DVD or BR in America that isn't import or a bootleg.

*=Which I liked, but the 80s original demo kicks the shit out of it.

A fan's live tweet commentary of a Prince concert at Australia last night. Only posting it because it's funny, in a good sincere fanatic fan non-ridicule fashion.

~He opened with "Gold" from GOLD EXPERIENCE? He played "Jam of the Year" (from EMANCIPATION)? Played the "Raspberry Beret" music video on the big screen while playing it? Awesome.
