I've always been lukewarm to indifferent to Diaz, but I'm hoping that she can live up to the talent that surrounds her. she looks good in her character from the pics that have been released.

I'd really be satisfied if this movie turns out to be good and I would love for Cruz to really produce some a great performance and maybe get an Oscar nod. IDK, I'm not that big of an of hers, but she has proven in the past that she does have talent (There's Something About Mary, Being John Malkovich), and I do find it interesting when actors who seem unlikely to be recognized at the Oscars (Jonah Hill, Melissa McCarthy, Ellen Page maybe) get a surprising nod.
However, I have the feeling the Scott will deliver something lackluster. That would be a shame, given the talent of the rest of the cast.
It'll be integrering to see if Diaz could get some traction for this. Her role is supposedly REALLY flashy. The question is wether she is lead or supporting since it seems she's borderline. Also she has really bad luck since last year the lead actress category really lacked any major stars so she'd easily get talked about there and the supporting category was just really empty so she'd get talked about there too. This year though, it's the opposit and she could miss out because of that. We'll see.
Ridley is definetly hit or miss these days so I wont get my hopes up too high for this to be a great film but it should be interesting with that screenplay.
No, Zac, I'm going with my Nanny.
OMG, I'm predicting this for EVERYTHING
Ridley for the Oscar![]()
So he's due for a hit...and a fucking Oscar
Seriously, Ridley will be my Les Miserables this year![]()
I have high hopes for The Counselor, but I'm in wait and see mode.
Scott gets a forever pass for his shit because of Thelma & Louise, Alien and Blade Runner.
