    I recently rewatched Beasts, Les Mis and Moonrise. UGH...I love my top five SOOOO MUCH...and yes, Beasts and Moonrise are now top tier for me

    This. I see where people who criticize Hoffman's acting style come from sometimes (he can get hammy, overly theatrical) but there's no denying that he has played a wide variety of characters, and played them differently, throughout his career.

    I personally think that Hoffman is one of the finest working actors right now
