I know clearwatergirl is... clearwatergirl. But let's give her some credit. She was largely negative on Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, afterall.

I'm just looking forward to hearing something, anything, about Gravity.

Actually I sent it two more friends who live in the area. So overall, I may now know three people seeing it tonight (not including clearwatergirl). Two definitely. The third is just a maybe, but does have the pass.

I'll ask them all to tell me a lot of details for this one. Not just a regular mini-review.
    ---
So we'll have 3-4 different opinions on this film. w00t!
edit: third friend couldn't make it. So 3 opinions total!
edit again: Ok, I now know another person going. So 4!

LMFAO, I have an invite to this, too. I wasn't going to go, because I'm busy, but now I kind of want to so I can meet CLEARWATERGIRL.

    First person:
Just saw Gravity and it was great. I'd give more details, but I'm on my phone..... also I'm drunk on whisky. I'll come back tomorrow.
    ----
2nd person - My friend just wrote me this from his phone:
It's official... I now owe you my life. IT WAS AMAZING! I sure will. But first let me say, the movie is still a work in progress so the special effects weren't finished so I didn't see the finished product. I can't thank you enough. I didn't see Alfonso Cuaron there though. I'LL REVIEW IT WHEN I GET BACK! There's so much to talk about."

He just wrote his instant thoughts.... It's not really a review per se.

Well, the first thoughts, yes. The longer one is a review, or at lasts it's called that.

Not at all, but I strongly doubt it's a 6/5 too.

Either Sandra Bullock or Helen Hunt winning a second Oscar this year will be GLORIOUS.

Leaving a screening of The Paperboy.

lol, yeah, Gravity seems like it could definitely be something that "cinephiles" love, but doesn't resonate with the general public (see: Tree of Life)

Anyway, thanks for the reviews. Could Clooney be a Supporting player here? I think SaBu has a good shot at a nomination, as I did even before these mini-reviews. And of course Cuaron.

clearwatergirl: can you tell us more??

    Well, my friend certainly does.

I'll get the drunk guy's review tomorrow. He's an older guy (late 20's vs. 19), and a much better writer.

That Gyllenhaal leech you like so much will probably date one of them and thus, revive his faltering career.

The bright side will be when I relegate you to the imdb boards. Now be quiet and let clearwatergirl talk about the movie.

I wish I'd been able to go to this, but I had to work until after the screening started. Can't wait to see the finished film!

Thanks, Dirk. We were all wondering what the drunk guy had to say about it.
