That other greatly influential Emmy-winning network drama coming to an end this week.

Somehow though, I doubt this will inspire 180 replies around here.

God, I hope this show ends with CTU being an elaborate metaphor for Purgatory.

The show bored me in the first season so I only watched the first two or three episodes then the season finale- then didn't watch again until the second season finale which had a good promo(was Sherry working with people who put a bomb in a stadium then flip on them?) -was hooked ever since- I think it was the attempted assassination of Palmer as the final scene. Fandom even surived the sixth season.

Cherry Jones was fantastic in her final scene. That could win her another Emmy.

I'm a huge 24 fan. Always been. Yes, Season 6 was weak and boring after the superb first four episodes. And Season 8 didn't really start so well. I never liked the finale of Season 4 either. But the rest... I can watch it over and over again.

24 said goodbye to television with a terrific last 8 episodes. I liked the finale a lot too. It was tense, impressively shot as always, and emotional. Just like Lost, they chose to focus on characters and personal stuff in the last minutes. And it may have worked even better here. Because Jack Bauer has been with us long before the others.

Yes, this was a pretty strong tape for Cherry Jones. She can win again with this finale. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Keifer Sutherland to be nominated. Everyone is so into Lost right now, that we forget 24 was also an Emmy favorite once. And the final season will get some recognition. Lost may have Best Drama Series in the bag, but expect some major nominations for 24 too...

And the door is left open for the movie which I already can't wait to see.

That reminded to post that while 24 had a whole season of Nikki and Paulo it never had something like The Constant but it did recover very well from the sixth season and because I went back and watched seasons one and two and thought 3-5 and then 7-8 were good with 5 being the peak-I wish it go out with several big Emmy nominations like for Cherry Jones and Keifer Sutherland.
